For teams that need the numbers
Power reliability data, research grade
Power4.Africa has tracked every published Kenya Power planned interruption since May 2025 and verifies unplanned outages through clustered community reports. The archive compounds daily; the public map shows today, the dataset holds the history.
What the dataset answers
- Outage frequency and average duration per estate, area, or county
- Planned vs unplanned ratio: grid maintenance or grid failure?
- KPLC schedule adherence: do outages match published windows?
- Reliability rankings across areas, for siting and underwriting
- Time-of-day and seasonal outage patterns
Who it is for
Property developers pricing backup power, insurers underwriting business-interruption risk, solar and inverter vendors sizing their market street by street, logistics and cold-chain operators protecting their fleet and stock.
